When is competition valuable?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 03, 2008:
My oldest son and my husband bonded over hockey,and soccer.
I knew everything was going to be o.k. when for a few hours I watched as these two discovered their world through a puck and a ball.

My daughters == one flying model rockets and airplanes, the other remote control cars and boats. Such non-girlie bonding (they did that stuff with their mom…;-))
Albert remote control cars and dinosaurs in this home,paper airplanes that actually fly after many papers and folding just right. The girlie stuff I like it too,and miss my dad and his model rockets that soared,and the soccer is growing on me …slowly like moss ;-)
