That said I feel that as time goes by I grow into myself not so much an evolution as a finding of one's way home

I dated him too ;-) finally it was his roving eye and not his dancing that set me free as in please don't let the door smack you're bony ass on the way out but in a real gentle 'enlightened' way
I saw them in concert omg,25 yrs ago they opened for the police,there was also Stevie Ray Vaughn and Peter Tosh.
I spent the concert stoned and on the shoulders of a guy who later went from being a guy to that asshole to Nico's dad,to hey you how are ya.

I'm all for the gentle 'enlightened' way as in adding a pleez to the husj husj, out of me wigwam& asking politely whether he'd prefer to carry his stuff before I go hurl it out the window tsk.
I love talking heads too, 23 yrs ago I saw them. In Berlin. Don't recall much though, the scotch over on the east side of town was r e a l l y cheap..shee, that's when the wall was still up. fuck I'm getting old & aging rapidly as we speak.
OMG scotch…don't get me going on scotch which BTW kept me going through some pretty rough times.

I can only share that I am loving the experience of 'listening' to you two. I've never had a boyfriend, or sat on a guy's shoulders at a concert. Not a conscious experience I see in my future either.

BTW I've loved/fucked women too,it is one of those amazing flukes that I fell in love with my husband,I do believe his sex had nothing to do with it,but rather his soul,energy,being whatever you want to call it.
Oh yeah someone's sex is really of little relevance in the scheme of things for me,if you read my other blogs or got to know me you'd know this.

I might have read too much into your words and this can happen when you are me.

I have an overwhelming respect for the balance of body, mind and soul that women possess relative to the testosterone laden, intellectually inferior male. IMHO, the consciousness of women is much closer to true self than the majority of men, because women are not playing the dominance game.. which shifts men away from the journey of self to the mission of control.
That being said.. this thread has me thinking otherwise… lmfao…

Women have been subjected to control by men for centuries…and I abhor that… that is all I was communicating…. that I honor and love the spiritual wisdom of women in comparison to many men who use control… over empowerment.

Poor Dave! I think I got you Dave from the first thread. It's amazing how the linguistics of blog-talk can totally get taken the wrong way.
Is my translation correct Dave? - If MEN and the control that men had over women for centruries had not been so “Cro-Magnon” - (i.e. beat their sticks over our head and drag us around), then us WOMEN would never have had to heal ourselves from the centuries of oppression in the first place.
I think however this entire thread just proved that human consciousness is NOT evolving.
Dave, it saddens me somewhat to experience yr responses focusing on me personally, rather than simply explaining what the joke was in the first place, which is all I was after to begin with. That said, it doesn't bother me one bit & does'nt intimidate me either as you may have noticed by now. Not all women don't play the dominance game by simply being submissive when facing males mission to control. And yes, my engagement in this is a very conscious choice as it is not the first time I have experienced underlying implications in your words in regard to gender & sexuality.
I read you as an intelligent person with access to a large vocabulary & knowledge. In every other discussion I have read with your participation, I've observed yr eloquence & attention to detail whilst phrasing. Based on that, I've concluded that you are indeed very well aware of what you are saying.
The attempts to evade my simple question with sarcasm, has not gone unnoticed. And implying that I do indeed know what you mean, doesn't get you off the hook either. It just

To clarify my view & interpretation, i'll say that to me the cro-magnon MAN is the first modern human in europe as opposed to the earlier neanderthaler. My enquiry into an explanation originated from a wondering about the relevance of Dave's comment in the first place. I've explained that in detail further up the thread.
I agree with you that human conscioussness is not evolving & I disagree that this thread is a proof to that. To me human conscioussness is a constant factor, what might evolve is our awareness & or ability to tap into that conscioussness. One way to do that, is by communicating with oneself & others from the heart in a objective, transparent & authentic way. I believe us humans have a lot going for us & a long way to go yet, to get there..

Dave,it's me Cybil hmmmm, I was sorta aiming for the blog to finish at the video. As I said earlier I wasn't comfortable in my response I felt that had i have just responded compassionately or in a manner more like me (although this is a side of me too) none of this might have happened…all the ego stuff and bringing out sides to people that are not our purty sides…but nonetheless it's happened and I'm not deleting it bc it will remain a reminder to mind what I say,and think about what letting my feelings get in the way can do.
I must ask myself Dave why it is that at times you say things and I read something else into it. This is not the first time it has happened. B.B. Thank you for being so honest, and I really appreciate that you took the time to circle back wondering how we may have missed each other the first time. I would like to get to know you better too. It's kinda funny what I learned through this thread too. You see, I write children's books… stories about love, and the special gift each of us has inside of us. I try very hard, in everything I say and do, to be an expression of love. For me… I find no value in being anything else … although admittedly, I certainly ain't no saint! I do enjoy writing, and wonder if my style comes across to you as arrogant or something? It would be fun to explore that.
My dear friend Tara - to you I apologize deeply. Given how often we have shared words all over Gaia, and how 'penultimately' synched we always are, I have assumed, (quite incorrectly), that you and I were totally in sync through this entire thread. Although you clearly challenged me a few times, I honestly felt you were playfully chiding me… rather than expressing real concern or frustration over the meaning of my words. I thank buddhababe for expressing what I intended to say so clearly… because it is only with love and affection that I shared each and every word here. I am sorry that I did not stop and seriously 'listen' to what you were sharing, and for the frustration that resulted in. I am very sorry.
