What was the last thing you found yourself waiting for?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 24, 2008:
My period
The bathroom
Lab results (work)
The moment before the sun crests just before the birds start to sing
Thunder after a flash of lightening.
The washing machine with it's extra clean cycle that takes 130 mins, clean clothes but WTF
Some days I'm so impatient I can poke my own eyes out and other days people remark on how patient I am...this always makes me giggle .
I do a lot of stuff online to avoid the waiting game,it has been liberating to not have to step foot in a bank or office I actually think it has added years on to my life.
Most days though I just go with the flow, cuz the reality for me is waiting time rises exponentially with my level of impatience, and I'm rather fond of my eyes.

this was a nice read this morning. For me, I seem to wait a lot for the little hourglass to disappear on the computer screen.
You literally made me laugh out loud - thank you.
I really resist waiting. I manage to be just doing something else - reading a book while I stand in line, taking pictures, anything except just waiting. I think it seems a little too obedient for me so I have to rebel.
Just wanted to stop by and say I soooo enjoy reading your posts :) ! :) I, too, was literally laughing out loud =]
uhmm.. another lil pearl from you..
I'm soo happy that you missed gaia & had to come back sooner than later.
that moment of silence just before the birds get going is magic to wake up to.
It has been a lovely day. It's Quebec's most sacred of holidays ,and the most amazing excuse to drink beer….I think you could drink beer on this day in a police station and no one would stop you,St Jean de Baptisie.
I went to one of my friends this morning with Mimi and we literally detoured our way for two hours to her house…hello Jean Talon Market (like the best market EVER!). We ate fried calamari at Mimi's request and no matter how many times I try to explain what it is she still thinks it's some kinda mutant chicken…hello do chickens have little tentacles?…Mimi's do so what the hey,who am I to argue, come to think of it she eats almost anything.
Lately Mimi has been asking me to read Fancy Nancy to her all the time, not just a bedtime but during the day. When we got to my friends place she kept on saying how much it's like Fancy Nancy's,and it is,her apartment one of the havens I know on this earth that you just melt into like coming home and being surrounded by wonderful art (much of it of her own creation),and cool stuff and furniture so well thought out that I actually want to cry at the beauty of it. She took out these stamps she has,one of them a stamp she bought years ago when we took a trip to Toronto to visit my parents and spent a day a a Victorian thing that was fabulous,I still have a lace tablecloth I bought and memories of when my mom was still alive and well.
We drank beer and listened to music and watched this child of mine be herself dancing away and hugging us,stamping pretty fairies all over colorful paper and me smiling,in no hurry just soaking up an afternoon filled with beauty and love and thinking how blessed I can feel at times, especially when I'm not in a hurry…aka impatient.
