What brings you joy?

Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy
I like this quote. Sums up how I'm feeling right now.
Smiley,grateful,dare I say happy. Sorrow is never far behind joy,because when I feel joy I am in fact opening myself up to everything. Time has taught me to hold on to neither,but to let myself live both.







I have a wonderfuly ampathy with smiles and laughter … if someone else is genuinely in mirth, and giggling, I can't help but tune into that.
it applies to sadness and sorrow too, but I've been able to shield myself a little from that; for my own well-being and sanity.
so when you smile, another smiles with you :-)
I got a smile like that this morning from the woman who waited on me at Tim Horton's. I usually never see her because she generally works the drive thru. I asked her which she liked better the counter or the drive thru window. She smiled and said…I love them both. Her smile was so genuine I melted.
I don't hold on but I'm definitely a joy-seeking-missile.
I know everyone has already heard the thing about how smiling actually changes the hormones your body realeases even if you think you don't “mean it”, but that Thich Nhat Han quote made me think of it.
I have a smile stuck to me the last few days.

aahh, yes a great quote that one.. I absolutely adore that sexy little monk.. whenever I get UPTIGHT about somethingorrather, I do that breathing thang of his: I breathe in & I feel calm, I breathe out & I smile :-D & it is truly amazing, like Jeannie says, our hormones
does react to it, whether we actually feel joyous or not. It's like when feeling depressed,
all you have to do is look up & your mood changes.. You might get a stiff neck or bump
into something, but at least you're no longer feeling depressed..;-)
